  • One of the oldest branches of mathematics, geometry requires strong skills in the visualization of sizes, shapes, angles, and dimensions. The study of geometry involves memorization of countless theorems and postulates and introduces students for the first time to the sometimes intimidating science of proof-writing. We believe that any student can learn to thrive in geometry and conquer the subject matter with the right tools and study skills.

     At Ivy Tutoring, we are excited to allow our geometry students to work one-on-one with award-winning math tutors affiliated with Brown University. Our Ivy League-educated math tutors are experts in their fields and have a passion for teaching that goes beyond the classroom.

     We emphasize the importance of understanding mathematical concepts beyond memorization and of learning through application. Our students learn graphical, numerical, and analytical methods for solving problems, which leads to a deeper understanding of the material. We also recognize the challenges of grasping new terminology and notation or interpreting functions and work closely with our students to ensure they build a strong foundation and confidence in mathematical methods. We encourage our students to become successful problem solvers by helping them develop strategies that work specifically for them.
